"Strip Mine" by adunakhor

This is definitely a pretty alter for Strip Mine and it escapes the dull brown color of the original art, but if you ask me it seems completely off flavor-wise. The dry "Dust Bowl" art for the card really fits the flavor of the card, whereas this mostly gets noticed for its shock value for the unexpected use of color.

    I would like to add that this alter was part of a contest on mtgsalvation. The task was to turn a chaotic scene into a peaceful scenario and the Strip Mine seemed a perfect candidate :)
